Background

There are a lot of people playing instruments now; however, if they want to form a band, they need to spend a lot of time on finding the right person. By using this app, they can find the people who suits their style, after that, they can jam and record a song together with the virtual instruments. They do not need to book a band room, setup a date and bring the instrument outside, they can jam with other people everywhere and at anytime, no restriction about the time and location. Not just playing a song together, they can also record and share the song and get the comments from the others. If they don’t want to jam the music together, they can role as a music video director to help them to make a music video when the others are jamming.

Target

This application is targeted at music lovers who would like to jam and share their songs with their friends or other people online. The application allows them to play the virtual instrument. Therefore, users who do not know how to play real instrument are also targeted. It also aims at the users who would like to make more friends that share the same interest on music. Furthermore, people who are interested in multimedia are also the target audience.

Goals

There are seven major goals in this application. First, it allows users to play instrument everywhere. Through using the virtual instruments, they no longer have to bring along with their instruments and can share their music in everywhere at anytime. Second, users can jam with people online. By searching and filtering people online, it is easier for users to find the one who shares similar style and they can jam together, regardless of the different locations and timezones. Third, it facilitate the users to jam on their own selves. When there is no Internet connection or it is hard to find people jamming together, users can play in Offline Mode and jam with the presets of the instruments. Forth, it assists users to record and share their songs. By using the recording function, they can record the songs they have played and share them online, while others are welcome to comment on their works. Fifth, it helps the users who know nothing on playing the real instruments to jam with others by utilising the simple and easy interface. So that they can also enjoy the funning jamming music. Sixth, for those who are not interested in playing the instrument, this application can still provide them with a platform to make music video or add other multimedia elements to make a MV, song cover, etc. Lastly, it allows users making friends online. They can know more people from other places in the world and can also form a band.
